Midlands Woman Receives Prestigious Presidential Award

She is being honoured for her work with the Irish community in London. 

A Laois woman, who died last year, is to receive a Presidential Distinguished Service Award for her work with the Irish community in London. 

Alice Kennedy was nominated for her voluntary role as chairperson of the Elderly Advice Network, her work with the homeless and developing a choir during her 63 years living in the UK. 

The 83 year old from Clonaslee died from COVID 19 in April 2020.
