Regional Hospital Tullamore accounts for just 2 of that figure.
Over 1,300 people have been waiting longer a-year-and-a-half for a hospital appointment in the midlands.
Figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund show just under 1,000 of those are in Regional Hospital Mullingar, while 390 are in Portlaoise.
Regional Hospital Tullamore is seeing significantly less people waiting over 18 months for an appointment, with the figure there being 2.
However, it does hold the highest total figure in the region with over 12,800 on the outpatient waiting lists there.
Nationwide, close to 600,000 people are currently waiting for their outpatient appointment, over 82,000 of them are children.
