Another multi-national drinks company is coming to County Kildare.
Coca-Cola - which announced in 2018 that its plant in Athy would close by the end of this year - has sold its facility to Monster Beverage Corporation.
The US-based energy drink manufacturer will take over the site and some adjoining lands in 2020.
Kildare Labour councillor Mark Wall says this is very exciting news, particularly for the 82 former employees of the Coca-Cola plant:
