Two new apprenticeships have been launched by the Further and Higher Education Minister.
It's hoped newly announced farming apprenticeships will bring interest back into the industry.
The Irish Farmers Association is encouraging people to avail of the opportunity to become a farm technician or manager, which has become available to those with or without a background in the sector.
Those involved will have a chance to work in the cattle, dairy, pigs, poultry, tillage and sheep area.
