There were no properties available to rent in the midlands for people accessing the Housing Assistant Payment over the last month.
That's according to the Simon Communities of Ireland's quarterly 'Locked Out of the Market' report.
The report found that there were only 16 properties available at any price in Athlone, and just three in Portlaoise.
Nationally, just 29 HAP properties were available to rent in March, with 672 total properties advertised in the country last month.
