Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious.
Gardaí are investigating the theft of a number of high-end tools in Laois.
A belt sander, jig-saw and power washer were stolen from the Ballytegan and Ridge Road areas of Portlaoise yesterday.
A number of people have already been arrested in relation to the incidents and are currently being detained.
Some items have been recovered and Gardaí looking to identify their owners.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen suspicious activity on Wednesday night, early Thursday morning to come forward.
