A conference is set to take place today in Offaly that aims to raise education and awareness around mental health for the Traveller community.
Offaly Traveller Movement is hosting the event in collaboration with the Society of Psychiatry. in order to create a space where lived experience and clinical expertise are valued equally.
The group will also highlight the launch of a suicide bereavement liason officer that will offer culturally appropriate support for affected families and the community.
The event will take place at the Tullamore Court Hotel from 9:45am until 4pm.
