Offaly Councillor Hoping New Testing Centre Will Drive Down Cases

The HSE and the National Ambulance Service aim to carry out between 300 and 500 tests per day.

An Offaly councillor is hoping the HSE's quick response will help drive down covid cases numbers in the county.

A new walk-in testing centre is opening at Aura Leisure Centre in Tullamore this morning in response to the high prevalence of the covid in the area.

People who live within 5 kilometres and have no symptoms of the virus can attend.

The HSE and the National Ambulance Service aim to carry out between 300 and 500 tests per day.
