It follows severe flooding in parts of Tullamore last week.
It looks like people in an Offaly Town will remain exposed to the danger of raw sewage flooding for months, and maybe even longer.
It comes after heavy rain led to severe flooding which included human waste and sanitary products around the areas of Callary Street and Convent Road in Tullamore over the weekend.
Uisce Eireann says its conducting a town-wide drainage survey to address the problems, however it's not expected to be complete until later next year at the earliest.
