Offaly Domestic Violence Service Welcomes Proposed Criminal Law Bill

Jennie’s Law includes measures to strengthen Ireland’s response to sexual offences.

The Offaly Domestic Violence Support Service is welcoming the provisions of a new proposed bill to tackle the issue.

The Criminal Law Bill 2025, also known as 'Jennie's Law' also contains measures aimed at strengthening Ireland’s response to sexual offences.

One of these measures includes a domestic violence register which has been heavily campaigned by the family of Jennifer Poole who was murdered by her ex partner in 2021.

ODVSS is before the Oireachtas Justice Committee to discuss the bill's pros and cons.
