Offaly Driving Instructor Meets Government Over Driving Test Backlogs

Tullamore's Joe Wynne has been speaking to the Ministers for both Transport and Housing.

An Offaly driving instructor has met with cabinet Ministers over his plans to tackle the backlog in driving tests.

Joe Wynne of Wynne’s School of Motoring, Tullamore, met Housing Minister James Lawless as well as Minister for Transport Daragh O'Brien to present proposals to tackle delays and improve road safety.

Mr Wynne is proposing that the new IDA park in the town could include a dedicated RSA driving test compound, allowing all test manoeuvres to take place on one site while reducing congestion in local housing estates.

He says local residents do not want their neighbourhood to be used repeatedly for driving tests:
