Offaly is home to the best performing NCT test centre in the midlands.
Just under 60% of the 67,000 tests in Tullamore have passed, the figure is 56% in Mullingar, and 55% in Portlaoise.
The NCT test centre in Athlone has failed more than half of the vehicles test this year at 47%.
The Westmeath test centre also had the highest rate of dangerously failed tests at 7.7%, followed by Mullingar at 7.1%.
6.7% of tests were given the 'Fail Dangerous' result in Portlaoise with 5.9% per cent in Tullamore.
