Concerns about a potential closure were raised earlier this week.
Cloghan Health Centre will remain open, according to the HSE.
Laois-Offaly TD Barry Cowen had raised concerns earlier this week that the service was going to be relocated to Banagher Primary Care Centre.
The Fianna Fáil rep says almost all of the GPs working in Cloghan are based at the new Primary Care Centre.
He's received assurances though, that an appointments-based service will continue locally in Cloghan.
The centre currently provides for 188 patients in the West Offaly area.
