Ballycumber's Seamus Boland, has been unanimously voted in as the 35th President and will remain in the role until March 2028.
The Irish Rural Link CEO is the first Irish man to lead an EU plenary body since Pat Cox in 2002.
He wants to be seen as a voice for employers associations, trade unions and civil society organisations in Europe.
