Offaly Streets Flooded With Sewage As Residents Demand Immediate Action

The incident occurred despite Uisce Éireann’s plans to tackle the problem in 2026.

People living in an Offaly town have been hit by torrents of raw sewage after heavy rain on Saturday night.

Residents on Callary Street and Convent Road, who have been subject to similar issues in recent years, woke up to heavy flooding in the area yesterday morning.

It comes after an Uisce Eireann commitment to address the issue over the course of 2026.

Fianna Fail Councillor Shane Murray wants action taken now.
