An Offaly woman has been left in tears after being named the winner of the National Ploughing Brown Bread Baking Competition.

Rose Egan, who won her heat yesterday, became overwhelmed when her loaf was announced as the winning bake in today's final in Ratheniska.

The Ballycumber woman is dedicating the victory to her late Brother.
