It's meeting in Leinster House this afternoon.
The war in Ukraine, Irish security and the need for a standalone Minister are the top issues facing the Department of Defence currently.
That's according to Laois Offaly Fine Gael TD Charlie Flanagan, who Chairs the Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence.
It will hear from senior officers and other interested parties when it meets in Leinster House at 3pm this afternoon.
