Over 20 Vials Of Vaccine Dumped By Midlands Healthcare Group

The HSE is working to ensure those affected will be vaccinated as soon as possible.

The HSE has apologised after 22 vials of the Pfizer vaccine had to be dumped after being stored incorrectly.

It says the doses, delivered to a nursing home in its Midlands Louth Meath Community Healthcare group, weren't kept in the appropriate cold chain.

It says 49 residents and staff at the home concerned were vaccinated and work is now underway to ensure those affected by this issue will be vaccinated as soon as possible.
