€1 Million Going Towards Refurbishing 92 Midlands Social Housing Units

Over a million euro is going towards refurbishing 92 social housing units in the midlands.

The government's Voids Stimulus Programme is aiming to re-let a total of 2,500 homes across the country to those struggling with homelessness or on the social housing list.

Just over €400,000 is being allocated to Westmeath County Council to refurbish 31 units.

The local authority in Offaly is receiving €419,000 for 25 units.

And €359,000 is going to Laois County Council to renovate 36 homes.
