The contraband was found in parcels which originated in the USA, UK and Canada.
More than €100,000 worth of drugs has been seized in the Midlands and Dublin.
5.3kgs of herbal cannabis were discovered by Revenue officers during the examination of parcels in the two regions over the past week.
They also seized other illicit drugs, and over 6,000 cigarettes, with a combined value of €24,000, and retail goods worth €52,700.
The contraband was found in parcels which originated in the USA, the UK, Canada, and various other locations which were intended for locations worldwide.
Telescopic batons, pepper gel and pepper spray were also detected.
The retail goods were seized due to infringements of Intellectual Property Rights.
They came from well known designer brands such as Adidas, Alexander McQueen, Ami, Armani, Cortiez, Cristian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Moncler, Nike, The North Face, Armani, Canada Goose, Gucci, Hermes, Lacoste, Palm Angels, Prada, Puma, Ralph Lauren, Stone Island, Tommy Hilfiger and White Fox.
