Over €3,000 Worth Of Vandalism At Westmeath Take-Away

A sum of money was stolen.

Over €3,000 worth of damage has been done to a take-away in Westmeath.

Two to three men entered the Papa Entis premises in Grange Village, Mullingar at 9 o'clock on Sunday evening, and broke glass panels with hammers.

The one employee in the main body of the building at the time managed to reach a point of safety and avoid injury.

The men took the cash register, which contained €200, before leaving.

Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area between 7 and 9 o'clock on Sunday evening, is asked to contact Mullingar Garda Station.
