It's expected to create up to 25 full-time jobs.
Laois could be getting another Lidl store.
The discount supermarket is seeking planning permission for a two-storey foodstore with off-licence use in Graiguecullen, on the Laois Carlow border.
The development would involve the demolition of the existing National Learning Network Centre, allowing for the construction of a premises totaling 2,300 square metres in gross floor space.
It's expected the store would create 25 direct full-time jobs, and generate up to €1 million every year in wages.
A decision from Laois County Council is due by August 15th.
