Popular Laois Forest Named In Coillte Top 20

A Slieve Bloom forest is among the most popular in Ireland.

A Laois forest is being named as one of the most visited in the country. 

Glenbarrow recorded over 51,000 visits last year, ranking 19th among Coillte’s most visited recreational sites nationwide.

The forest is one of the most picturesque areas of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, features four walking trails with waterfalls and dramatic valleys.

Avondale Forest Park in Wicklow tops the list with almost 350,000 visits in 2024.
