Portlaoise is on a high after becoming Ireland's cleanest town.
Secretary of the Tidy Towns committee, Vincent Booth, also says the group has been working on improving the town since it was ranked bottom of the Irish Business Against Litter Survey in 2010.
Mullingar is moderately littered, while Athlone and Tullamore are clean to the European norm.
