A public consultation has been scheduled.
A new greenway could be on the way for the midlands.
Westmeath County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland are planning to construct the greenway between Mullingar and Kilbeggan.
It's hoped the project will encourage cycling, walking and other forms of non-motorised transport.
A public consultation on the matter will be held in the Bloomfield House Hotel, on Thursday May 18th.
