Parades and picnics will be the order of weekend in Laois.
The Laois Pride Festival is returning to the county this weekend.
Following the success of its inaugural event last year, the main event will once again be the Parade, which kicks off in Portlaoise on Saturday at 12pm.
Other events include an Over 50's Group and a Picnic Day on Sunday.
Star of Netflix show "Glow Up" and Laois' James McInerney will be the Grand Marshal for the parade. He says he hopes the parade will make young people struggling with their identity feel represented:
