Mullingar Pride is set to start its fifth edition, with its pride parade taking place on Saturday,
A Westmeath town is hosting its fifth annual pride festival today.
The Mullingar Pride programme will include a comedy night, punk gig, family event, drag and burlesque performances, and a DJ set, culminating in the Mullingar Pride Parade.
The festival will open with Woman of Pride Comedy Night at the Columbia Bar from 8:30pm this evening.
This Saturday is expected to be the busiest day of the festival, with the Pride parade taking place from 3pm in Mullingar Town Park, alongside a family event running at the same location from 2pm to 5pm.
The parade will be led this year by the current Rose of Tralee Caoilfhinn Ní Choiligh, who will serve as Grand Marshal.
