A Garda Investigation is ongoing.
The Journal.ie is reporting a prison dispute may be behind a fatal arson attack in Offaly.
It's one of a number of theories investigators are considering after the incident in Edenderry claimed the lives of 60 year old Mary Holt, and 4 year old Tadgh Farrell.
It's believed the prison fight took place between a man, who is known to gardaí and who is related to Mary Holt, and an associate of a well-known criminal figure in the midlands.
Reports indicate the outcome of the fight caused another man, who is also connected to the criminal figure to launch the attack on the house in the Castleview Park estate.
