Property At Centre Of Midlands TD's Planning Controversy Was "Open House" For Family

A midlands TD says his property at the centre of a planning controversy was used as an "open house" for his family.

The Irish Independent is reporting Meath West Deputy Damien English's property had been used for more than a decade, but is no longer in a "habitable state".

The Fine Gael TD resigned as Junior Minister for Employment Affairs and Retail Business in January, after admitting he lied on a planning application for his family home.
