Julian Assange is facing 175 years in the US for espionage offences.

A protest against the continued imprisonment of Julian Assange is taking place in Athlone tomorrow.

The Wikileaks founder is facing 175 years in prison in the US for espionage offences, relating to documents posted about the War on Terror between 2007 and 2011.  

An extradition hearing will take place in London next week, which could see the Australian transported to the US thereafter.
