The Regional Independents, which includes Midlands TDs Denis Naughten, Peadar Toibin and Cathal Berry, have brought a motion calling for 'free and accessible' public transport services across the country.
They have argued there hasn't been anywhere near enough investment in services to convince enough people to leave their cars at home.
