Residents Of Laois Village Encouraged To Have Their Say On Flood Relief Scheme

Measures are being proposed to avoid a repeat of the flash flooding in 2017.

The residents of a Laois village are being encouraged to have their say on a new flood relief scheme.

The public consultation is the first step in a proposed scheme to protect Clonaslee from a repeat of the flash flooding in 2017.

The County Council has allocated €9.2 million for flood relief projects around Laois over the next three years. 

Local Fine Gael councillor Conor Bergin says the questionnaire and brochure for the study area will be available online and in hard copy:
