A Laois man is starting an online petition to attempt to get a train service to Mountmellick restored.
Paddy Brazil says the town is dying on its feet and that the restoration of the track would give it life once again.
Thus far his petition has gained over 350 signatures.
Mr. Brazil says the service would mean a lot for local residents and businesses:
