Revenue Seizes €238k Worth Of Contraband

A number of cannabis items were seized.

Revenue officers have seized contraband worth almost €238,000 after operations in the Midlands, Dublin and Rosslare Europort.

The detections include 1.3kg of cannabis worth just under €33,000.

Cannabis resin, edibles, and vape liquids were also seized along with a number of different sedative tablets.

While €157,000 worth of counterfeit items were also discovered.

The herbal cannabis and illicit drug seizures were made as a result of risk profiling. The parcels originated from the UK, the US, India, Canada and France, and were destined for various addresses nationwide.

The counterfeit goods were seized as they were confirmed by the Rights Holder to have infringed on Intellectual Property Rights. Six weapons accessories were also seized.
