Over 3,000 people were on the Live Register in the county in October.
Offaly had the second largest increase of people on the Live Register in the past year.
New CSO figures shows the figure for the county was at 3,086 people last month - that's up from 2,998 in October 2023 - an increase of just under 3%.
The combined figure of people across the midlands on the register for October 2024 is now at 9,804.
Westmeath recorded 3,617 people while the figure for Laois stands at 3,101.
Nationally, 63,766 people are now on the register - an increase 0.4%.
