A man was arrested in Clonmel this morning.
A second man's been arrested in connection with investigations into four burglaries in Westmeath in August.
He was arrested this morning in Clonmel, as part of Operation Thor.
He's the second person detained as part of that investigation, with another man arrested earlier this week - he was due before court on Monday.
At the same time, the divisional crime and roads policing units are conducting a series of rolling checkpoints across Westmeath throughout this month and next as part of efforts to combat rural crime.
