A second Laois club is voicing concern at the waiting time for emergency services after a player was injured at the weekend.
A member of Portlaoise AFC's U14 soccer team received a serious arm injury during a match on Saturday afternoon.
The emergency services operator said to wait for a call back, as no ambulance was available, and not to move the patient in the meantime.
However, no call back was ever received.
In the end, the boy's parents took him by car to Tullamore Hospital, where he's since had surgery.
