Shortage Of Medicines At A New Record High

A Westmeath pharmacist says Ireland has serious supply-chain issues.

The number of medicines out of stock in Ireland has reached a new record high of 307.

That's a 45% increase in the space of six months, according to the latest Medicines Shortages Index.

The products in shortest supply include low dose Aspirin, cholesterol and blood pressure medications, and nebulising solution for asthma and COPD.
