The tallies by Fianna Fail show Sinn Fein's Brian Stanley is on 19% - ahead of their candidate Barry Cowen on 15%.
Offaly's Marcella Corcoran Kennedy is getting just 8% of first preference votes.
The outgoing Fine Gael TD is unlikely to retain her seat, if those numbers are reflected in the count.
Meanwhile her colleague Charlie Flanagan is on 9% with Fianna's Sean Fleming on 7% and Peter Ormond on 12%
Independent candidate Carol Nolan is on 10%.
