The party have tabled a motion for discussion in the Dáil today, following the last week's interest rate hike by the ECB, the fifth since July.
The scheme will give homeowners a 30% tax relief on the difference between their mortgage rate in June, and their current rate, and is expected to cost the State about €312 million.
