Site Designated For Housing Sees Contractor Leave Project

It was hoped their would be over 50 modular homes on the site by the end of the year.

A midlands site that was hoped to see modular housing constructed before the end of the year, has now effectively "gone back to stage one".

Sinn Féin Councillor Caroline Dwane-Stanley was speaking about the development of 54 modular homes at the Hepburn Court estate in Portlaoise.

The contractor who had tendered for the project has since decided to leave, citing long waiting times as the reason.
