There's been a small increase in violent incidents in Offaly.
Figures revealed at a recent Joint Policing Committee meeting show overall instances of the offences in the third quarter of this year stands at 101, up from 94 last year.
The biggest increase was the crime of threats to kill or cause serious harm, which doubled from 6 instances to 12.
Assaults causing harm went from 28 up to 32, while minor assaults decreased from 48 to 51 compared to this time last year.
