A motorist has been arrested for speeding in Westmeath.
They were stopped by Delvin Roads Policing Unit for travelling 27 kilometres per hour over the speed limit, in a vehicle with no tax.
The driver also failed a roadside drug test, which showed the use of both cannabis and amphetamines.
Their vehicle has been seized and the motorist is due to appear before the courts at a later date.

The driver then tested positive for cannabis & amphetamines, while the vehicle had no tax.
