Mary's Meals is asking for the public to step up and support children in need.
In its 13th year, the Mary’s Meals Step By Step to Feed the Next Child walk is passing through the Midlands today.
The annual event raises funds to help feed over 2.6 million children every school day in some of the world's poorest communities.
Walkers from across Ireland are making their way to Knock, Co Mayo, in time for the grand finish on August 15th.
The group is arriving in Portlaoise today and will pass through Clara and Mountmellick on the route.
