Teaching Unions will meet with public health officials ahead of reopening in January. 

The ASTI  says it wants to avoid a return to remote teaching in the New Year. 

It met with the Education Minister yesterday and asked for further advice on how to spend covid funding to ensure they get the best value for money. 

ASTI President and Laois' Eamon Dennehy says the situation regarding reopening schools will be assessed in January.
