A teenager is due in court this morning in relation to an aggravated burglary in the midlands.
A woman in her 70s and a man in his 80s were assaulted in the incident, which occurred at their home in Cartron Drive in Athlone on the 8th of September.
A sum of cash was also taken from the house.
A man in his teens is due to appear before Mullingar District Court in connection with the incident this morning.
