Towns And Villages In Laois Look To Restore Enterprise To Main Streets

A discount will be offered for businesses to be set up in derelict premises.

Towns and villages in Laois are enticing enterprise back to their main streets by reducing rates on derelict buildings. 

The Business Incentive Scheme offers a discount for up to three years to firms that set up in disused premises.

Borris-in-Ossory, Durrow, Mountrath and Rathdowney are among the locations using the initiative to tackle the problem of dereliction.
