The Technological University of the Shannon is hoping to increase awareness of the barriers facing asylum seekers during its inaugural International Refugee Week.
A series of events is being launched today to help raise the voices of those seeking refuge in Ireland.

It's in line with the college's bid for University of Sanctuary status, through which it will be able to offer more scholarships to refugees and asylum seekers.
