Two Arrested And 12 Fines Issued After Group Caught Outside 5km

They had travelled from Waterford, Cork and Limerick.

Two men were arrested in Laois yesterday, after being caught outside their 5 kilometres for non-essential reasons.

Portlaoise gardaí stopped a group of men on the N77 Portlaoise to Abbeyleix road yesterday morning. 

They had travelled from Waterford, Cork and Limerick for a sulky race. 

Gardaí issued 12 fines, as well as arresting two individuals for road traffic offences.

They're reminding the public to stay at home.
