Councillors are calling for improvements to be made in Athlone and Monksland.
Calls are being made for a meeting between Westmeath and Roscommon County Councils to discuss improvements to public transport.
Councillors are raising concerns with the timing of the A1 and A2 bus routes serving Athlone and Monksland, which are described as 'vital services.'
Fine Gael's John Naughten also wants Bus Eireann to attend and see the issues highlighted.
While his party colleague, Athlone's John Dolan, says in general, there should be a more coordinated approach to public transport:
